Altra-Air Fans with WhalePower Technology
Altra-Air HVLS fans blanket a very large area with constantly moving air to create an expansive comfort zone.
As a result, the big ceiling fan can create an evaporative cooling effect of three to four degrees Celsius throughout the facility.
During the heating season, the Altra-Air HVLS fan technology can de-stratify uneven temperatures that can be in excess of fifteen degrees Celsius from ceiling to floor. This results in significant energy savings since the heating system cycles less frequently.
How do these fans differ from the rest?
The bottom line is this: Tubercle Technology™ blades out-perform all conventional air foils. No other blade can deliver stall angles as high as 31 degrees. No other blade always stalls gradually. No other blade can eliminate span-wise pumping (the primary cause of efficiency loss in all rotating systems). No other blade can eliminate tip stalling (the primary cause of blade noise and damaging vibration).

Winter Heat Distribution
It's not uncommon for the temperature to differ 20ºF from floor to ceiling in taller spaces, especially in the winter. Say you have a building with a ceiling height of 30-ft. and it seems as if the heating system is kicking on every 5 minutes. It probably is cycling more than necessary because the thermostat is at eye level but all the heat is going up! An Altra Air Fan would gently distribute the heat trapped at the ceiling down to the floor, letting the system cycle less frequently, thus reducing your heating bills by as much as 30%. Safety
Envira-North's safety clips and blade safety links prevent a rotor from falling or a blade from coming off even in the unlikely event of a catastrophic failure of the hub or drive system. The collet-type friction drive bushing connecting the hub to the reducer shaft allows controlled slippage in the event of a seizure of the reducer mechanism, or a failure of the soft start feature in the control panel.

Movement Never Looked So Good
This fan creates a directional air flow of extreme velocity that cools all facility inhabitants, controls insects, keeps floors dry and improves employee comfort. The airfoil deflectors are adjustable allowing better use of the airflow. One Absolute Air fan will replace four large single speed panel-aisle fans or up to eight 36" basket fans while it only uses half of the power during operation.
The fans have an optional variable speed frequency drive that will allow its use throughout the entire year.
The Absolute Air fan is the perfect product for winter use on low speed and fantastic cooling in the summer months on high speed. Each fan covers more than 6000 sq. ft. of floor space and can be used on ceilings up to 40' in height.
